CM12 X10 Computer Module

CM12 X10 Computer Module

The CM12U is an RS-232 to X-10 module for computer control of household X-10 modules, which plugs into a 230 Volts, 50 Hz mains electrical socket. The CM12U converts the RS-232 protocol output from a PCs 9-way serial port to the X-10 protocol. However, this only scratches the surface of what it is capable of, since the CM12 enables a range of events to be sheduled, so that certain lights switch on and off at certain times, devices such as a TV or music system switch onf and off at certain times, a coffee machine is switched on at a certain time. The possibilities are endless.

The CM12 is fitted with an RJ11 socket, and a lead is supplied with an RJ11 plug at one end, and a 9-way D-connector to connect to a PCs RS-232 serial port at the other end.
